River Life Photographic Competition

The Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club is hosting a  Photographic Competition, entitled River Life , with an Exhibition of the entries to be held at GRYC during  Goolwa’s major town festival Goolwa Alive , from the 1st – 4th October, 2010.  Entries are encouraged from all photographers across the State, who are interested in showcasing the environmental, cultural, artistic and human dimensions of “River Life”.

This competition with prizes to the value of $4,500 has received major support from Alexandrina Council, Fleurieu Tourism, and the S.A. Photographic Federation as well as from a range of local businesses and organisations.  The long term plan is to hold this competition every two years and develop it into a significant cultural event for the Fleurieu region.

Entries close on 6th August, 2010 with delivery of photographs to the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club on the weekend of 18/19th September.  The S.A. Photographic Federation is supporting the competition by providing accredited judges. Winners will be announced by Xavier Minniecon at the Exhibition Opening on Friday night the 1st October. The Exhibition will on display to the public  from Saturday 2nd to Mon 4th Oct.  All photographs will be for sale with copyright remaining with the photographer.
