Dear President, I hope you don't mind us emailing you but we recently viewed your society's website and thought some of your members may be interested in entering the 2008 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. The competition, which is co-owned by the Natural History Museum, London and BBC Wildlife Magazine, has been running for 44 years and is a showcase for the best wildlife pictures taken by photographers worldwide. Each year the winning images are displayed at the Natural History Museum , London , as well as at venues around the UK and internationally, and a hardback portfolio book is also produced. The call for entries for the 2008 competition has just begun and this year we have 14 categories to choose from as well a £10,000 prize on offer for the overall winner.
